NTUC – Digital Transformation
The brief and challenge:
Exclusively partnering with NTUC to fulfill over 30 headcount for the development of their digital innovation hub over a 12 month period. Nakama were responsible for hiring leaders and their teams across a specialist skillset in data & analytics, technology, product development, strategy and transformation, design, marketing and communications, HR as well as executive level technology and digital product experts. The challenge involved with this undertaking included: the variety of specialist skills, coupled with a depth of experience which can be challenging to find in a relatively young market like Singapore, the complexity of the hiring business, unknown brand outside of Singapore market and lack of existing digital function making to attract talent, all to be achieved on a tight time scale.
Nakama set up a dedicated NTUC project team with specialist hiring units making our structure well aligned to deliver against the specific skills requirement, fast. Each unit was led by a Senior Consultant who had a deep knowledge and network in the hiring vertical at both a local and international level.
To ensure regular, yet low impact communication with hiring managers we had weekly, snappy campaign meetings to run through key candidates and progression updates, where any adjustments to searches could be discussed and confirmed.
Nakama delivered on all vacancies within the challenging timeline, as well as 3 additional senior level hires which were not part of original mandate. These new vacancies were created to accommodate high-quality candidates identified through our search campaign.
Together with our clients hiring team and excellent project management, we were able to move at speed to identify specialist talent both locally and abroad, which resulted in a successful outcome for the creation of this digital transformation hub.
